STOP KORETEZ’S
HILLSIDE HOME DESTRUCTION ORDINANCE
Our Councilmember Paul Koretz is pushing through a radical so-called “wildlife” ordinance that will destroy our hillside neighborhoods and do way more harm than good!
Staff for Paul Koretz is trying to railroad this ordinance through as quickly as possible with minimal public input – They are closing public comment on August 22!
Call Paul Koretz at (310) 928-8133 and let him know you oppose this ordinance!

WILDLIFE
None of the regulations in the ordinance protect existing wildlife corridors, and may put more animals in harm’s way!
FIRE
This ordinance was created without proper guidance from LAFD and could increase the risk of catastrophic fire danger in the Hills!
CRIME
It removes the ability of homeowners to build privacy fences around the perimeter of their properties and reduces the use of crime-deterring lights!
RENNOVATION
Homeowners that wish to renovate their home would be required to submit plans for a lengthy and costly permitting process.
WHAT ARE THE WORST PARTS OF KORETZ’S SO-CALLED “WILDLIFE” ORDINANCE?
- The ordinance is made up of over 35 regulations limiting what you can do with your home – not ONE about protecting or maintaining existing wildlife CORRIDORS
- In the event of a fire or other natural disaster, MANY homeOWNERS will not be able to rebuild to their current size (IF THEy are able to rebuild at all)
- IT endangers homeowner and pet safety while increasing the risk to mountain lions and other wildlife
- WILL RESULT IN A MAJOR reduction in property values for most homes
